Chelsea and Arsenal are keen on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to reports from Le Parisien.

The 18-year-old playmaker is widely thought of as one of French football’s finest young stars, and has been earning much praise since making his breakthrough while on loan with Toulouse earlier this year.

He promptly returned to the Ligue 1 champions for the current campaign, but despite his talents he faces an uncertain future at the Parc des Princes.

Rabiot is desperate to play regularly, however the presence of a number of established midfield stars has seen him plunge in and out of Laurent Blanc’s starting XI so far.

The teenager has already confessed that if more rival players are signed he may consider his options – which is completely feasible given the Parisians’ Qatari backing.

This has alerted Arsenal and Chelsea, with the duo ready to offer Rabiot an escape route should his feelings of discontent worsen.

Both clubs have been watching his progress for some time, and see him as an ideal addition as they both seek to build squads capable of challenging at the top of the English games for years to come.

Tottenham are also said to be keen, but it is believed that Champions League football may be a deciding factor in a possible deal, putting the Gunners and the Blues out in front.
