Five players to help Chelsea compete physically
Jose Mourinho complained last weekend that his current Chelsea team are not capable of defending against physically imposing sides in the way his old Blues team used to. With that in mind, talkSPORT looks at players who could add muscle to Chelsea’s ranks.

Nemanja Matic: Benfica
Since leaving Chelsea two years ago Nemanja Matic has matured into a dominant, complete midfielder capable of imposing himself on the toughest of opponents. The Blues could do well to reconsider their opinion of the Serb.

Blaise Matuidi: PSG
Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi isn’t particularly tall but he is tough and excels at winning the ball back, then bursting forward into space. The France international has entertained suggestions he could leave PSG in the past, so could Chelsea convince him to move to London?

Maxime Gonalons: Lyon
Lyon star Maxime Gonalons has been tracked by a number of English clubs in the past, and the 6'1" Frenchman is one tough competitor. Aside from his strength, Gonalons also possesses quality on the ball.

Luiz Gustavo: Wolfsburg
Luiz Gustavo only joined Wolfsburg from Bayern last summer, but there are already stories surfacing in Portugal claiming Tottenham could make a push to meet his €24m release clause in January. With his current team falling behind in the quest for a Champions League spot, could Chelsea offer him a way out?

Nacho Camacho: Malaga
Malaga has proven to be a fertile hunting ground for the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid in the past, so could Chelsea make a similar raid for the club's defensive midfielder Nacho Camacho? The Spaniard doesn’t get on with new coach Bernd Shuster, so there is every chance of him becoming available.
