Hugo Lloris (Tottenham): There were a number of good goalkeeper displays, but Lloris was knocked out, then remained on the pitch and made important saves against Everton. He was later given the all clear.

Bacary Sagna (Arsenal): The Gunners were once again brilliant and had many star performers. Sagna was strong on the right, winning his aerial battles and ensuring his passing was excellent.

Steven Caulker (Cardiff): His goal was the difference against Swansea and Caulker's defending was exceptional in the derby.

Matija Nastasic (Man City): He is the first of four Man City players on here. Nastasic scored, was dominant in the air and incredibly accurate with his passing.

Jan Vertonghen (Tottenham): He prefers playing in the centre, but injuries to team-mates means he has had to operate on the left. The Belgian kept Everton at bay in a man of the match performance.

Gary Medel (Cardiff): Medel's tackling and distribution were crucial to Cardiff's crucial win against rivals Swansea.

Yaya Toure (Man City): The midfielder scored another brilliant free-kick and was a joy to watch during his club's 7-0 hammering of Norwich.

David Silva (Man City): Silva scored against Norwich, made 93 passes and was successful with 96 per cent of them.

Wayne Rooney (Man United): Rooney scored one and created one as his work rate tore Fulham apart.

James Ward-Prowse (Southampton): He is another Southampton academy graduate, has only just turned 19 and delivered a superb ball for Jay Rodriguez to equalise after a great team move.

Sergio Aguero (Man City): It was another brilliant performance by Aguero, who as well as scoring one, created two goals
