Real Madrid have apparently come to an understanding in relation to their ongoing pursuit of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez.

CaughtOffside understands that Liverpool have an agreement with their Uruguayan forward that would lead the 26 year old to being given permission to leave the Anfield club if they fail to secure a ChampionsLeague berth for next term, which in turn would result in Real Madrid launching a £60m bid for the 26 year old marksman.

Liverpool representatives have discussed the possibility of selling Suarez to the Bernabeu outfit, who expressed an interest in the former Ajax man over the summer and the two clubs have tentatively agreed on a £60m fee as the Merseyside club look to prevent any sale to a domestic rival, having already turned down two Arsenal bids for the player.

Liverpool battled hard over the summer to appease unhappy Suarez, who felt that the club needed some much needed investment in order to have any chance of securing a coveted top four spot. A number of top signings were made and this has resulted in Brendan Rodgers’s side mounting a concerted push for Champions League football.
