Neuer is a fantastic goalkeeper, the German has never been in the FIFA team of the year before, but it's very likely he'll be included this year. Neuer stands more of a chance because Iker Casillas hasn't had much first team football over the last couple of months. On form, there aren't many better than Manuel Neuer.

#10 Philipp Lahm (RB, Bayern Munich)

Lahm is a top professional. He is loved by all German football fans, captain of club and country Philipp Lahm is a very influential player. He also reads the game exceptionally well and finds the perfect balance between attacking and staying back

#9 Sergio Ramos (CB, Real Madrid)

Real Madrid have struggled at the back as of late, however there's no denying Ramos is a great player. Sergio was included in the team of the year last season along side his Spanish team mate, Gerard Pique. Ramos is an aggressive, but fair Centre back. Ramos has been loyal to Madrid, and is a very good defender.

#8 Thiago Silva (CB, PSG)

Thiago Silva, for most people is the best centre back in the world at the moment. The Brazilian is truly incredible; he has pace, strength, agility and his timing is second to none when it comes to crucial challenges. Thiago Silva's performances on the pitch are of a high quality week in-week out

 #7 Jordi Alba (LB, Barcelona)

Since his arrival at Barcelona, Jordi Alba has been incredible. The little Spaniard makes brilliant runs from deep, which sometimes leaves his position exposed at the back. However Alba has usually got the pace to outrun his man and recover quickly. Jordi is also a top defender when it comes to tackling.
 #6 Andres Iniesta (CM, Barcelona)
Iniesta is one of the best footballers in the modern game. He’s clever with his feet which means that most players can't even get near him. His balance, ball control, agility and vision are the qualities that make him untouchable. Iniesta is a joy to watch when he plays for both for club and country.

#5 Bastian Schweinsteiger (CM, Bayern Munich)

Schweinsteiger is a great player who dictates the play week in and week out. The right footed player is capable of playing out wide as well as in the middle. Schweinsteiger, who won the treble last season, is a very important player for Bayern and Germany.

 #4 Mesut Ozil (CM, Arsenal)

Unlike Schweinsteiger and Iniesta, Ozil doesn't really play in a traditional Centre midfield role, he usually likes to play higher up the pitch. Ozil is a fantastic footballer, one of Real Madrid's most important players before he made the switch to North London. Mesut is now a key player for Arsenal, and already a fan favorite at the club.

#3 Cristiano Ronaldo (RW, Real Madrid)

Ronaldo is one of the favorites to win the Ballon Do'r this year, after Messi has been held back with injures. Ronaldo, is scoring every week for Real Madrid and is currently in the form of his life. Quick feet, pace, strength and a great shot. Cristiano has it all.

#2 Franck Ribery (LW, Bayern Munich)

The Frenchman is well in contention to win the Ballon Do'r this year, Ribery, wasn't even included in the FIFA team of the year, last year but is now talked about as one of; is not the best player in world. Ribery has created and scored many goals for Bayern Munich this year.

#1 Lionel Messi (ST, Barcelona)

The little Argentine forward is one of the greatest footballers to have ever played the game. It's truly hard to think of words to describe the Barcelona man. Messi has broken a huge amount of records, and has won the Ballon Do'r every year, for the past few years.
