Walcott made his comeback following surgery on an abdominal problem as a second-half substitute at the weekend, having not played for over two months.
The England international played the final 20 minutes against Southampton but may not be selected for the Champions League visit of Marseille.
Wenger said: "I haven't decided on Theo but it's fantastic to have him back."
The Arsenal manager is also pleased with the progress made by Lukas Podolski, who has not featured since August.
The German returned to training on Monday but is a long way from being considered for first-team action.
Wenger added: "Lukas is still a few weeks away. But it's great he's training, he's a quality player who can play in different positions."
Wenger - Confidence is vital
Mathieu Flamini is available again following suspension and Wenger revealed that the Gunners have no new injury worries following the game against the Saints.
And the Frenchman is not taking three points for granted against a team currently last in Group F with zero points from four games.
He went on: "They have nothing to lose and that makes the French teams dangerous. They have quality."
Wenger is also keen to top the group they currently lead, although Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are still in contention.
A win against Marseille could seal Arsenal's place in the last 16, if Dortmund fail to beat Napoli in the night's other game.
Wenger admitted: "The draw can be bad if you finish first, but you feel guilty and you are punished if you finish second."
