Celtic manager Neil Lennon remains hopeful that midfielder Joe Ledley will agree a new contract extension.

"He has indicated to me that he loves it here, so that's a very good sign," said Lennon of the 26-year-old.

"I had good chat with Joe on Wednesday; a private conversation. I'm hoping things will get moving along, one way or another.

"There's an offer on the table and it's just waiting for his representatives to come up and negotiate things through."

Wales international Ledley has won two Scottish Premier League titles and two Scottish Cups since moving to Glasgow from Cardiff City in 2010.
His current deal expires at the end of this season.

Ledley has been hampered by a series of niggling injuries this term and has not started in any of Celtic's Champions League group games.

The midfielder knocked in his first goals of the campaign at Ross County this month with a brace of headers in a 4-1 win.
