Arsenal Board will allocate £100m transfer budget to Arsene Wenger so that they can match the spending power of clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea.

Financially, Arsenal receive a massive boost as they signed a mega kit-sponsorship with PUMA that will earn them £150m. If these reports are true, then major chunk of this money will be given to Wenger to boost his squad depth.

It is understood that Wenger had agreed a three year deal with the gunners and mostly, an official announcement will come after sealing new contracts for Per Mertesacker and Bacary Sagna.

Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis confirmed the news. He said,

“We have always supported Arsene, the board has always been completely behind him as has (owner) Stan Kroenke, and Arsene has always been committed to this football club,”

“So we are comfortable with the position. We are relaxed about it.”

“Arsene will be extending with us. And at the right time we will make that announcement.”

About the PUMA deal, he added,

“The long-term goal is to increase commercial revenues and invest in our squad,”

“This is very important step in terms of progression. This is the biggest deal in our history and the money from the deal will be available to the club from this summer.”
