Schalke have received no bids for Arsenal target Julian Draxler, the club’s general manager Horst Heldt has told reporters.

Draxler is contracted to the Royal Blues until the summer of 2018 but a release clause – set at £37 million – comes into effect this summer.

However, reports early on Tuesday had suggested that Arsene Wenger was ready to test the Gelsenkirchen club’s resolve with a January bid.

The chances of Arsenal making a move were significantly reduced with the news that the playmaker had suffered an ankle injury that could keep him out for several weeks.

And Heldt confirmed that there has been no official bid for the playmaker.
“There’s no offer from any club to Draxler,” Heldt said to Sky Sports News.
