Montpellier could be forced to temporarily relocate from Stade de la Mossons after flash flooding caused huge damage to the pitch and club offices.
The south of France has been hit hard by torrential rain in the last week, with the city of Montpellier subjected to 50 per cent of its average annual rainfall during the latest downpour.
The club's home has subsequently been substantially damaged by flash-flooding as up to three metres of water built up on the pitch.
While the playing surface itself has been transformed into a mud bath, the club's press room has also been largely destroyed thanks to the flooding, while the gym and dressing rooms have taken significant damage.
The club revealed the extent of the destruction through a series of images posted on their official Twitter account.
